Overall goal:
Facilitating a sustainable cooperation and the development of a knowledge and skills base in working with children at risk in the Romanian-Hungary border region
Specific Goal
- Establishing a long-term cooperation among 30 organizations that provide social services in the Romanian-Hungary border region and involving 80 children at risk
- Improving the level of expertise of 60 specialists providing social services in order to increase the quality of services offered to beneficiaries
- Assisting 200 beneficiaries from 3 communities to develop capabilities to identify specific local social problems and to find solutions to the problems identified
Beneficiaries:
- 60 professionals providing social services, representatives of public and private organizations working in child/youth/minorities protection, in Romania and Hungary.
- 200 children/youth in child protection system in Romania and Hungary
Activities/Expected Results:
- Organizing the kick-off meeting of the project’s teams and detailing the plan of action;
- Carrying out 32 personal development sessions targeting 200 children and youth in the child protection system in Romania and Hungary;v
- Editing a supporting booklet for personal development session targeting the children;
- Organizing and implementing two children camps benefiting 80 children in the child protection system in Romania and Hungary;
- Improving children’s knowledge about the history of the two countries;
- Organizing and implementing 4 experience exchange sessions for professionals working in the child protection system in Romania and Hungary involving 30 private and public organizations;
- Increasing the level of participants’ knowledge regarding the services and the methods in child protection in each country through 4 experience exchange sessions organized in the two countries and involving 60 professionals;
- Organizing 4 press conferences in each country;
- Promoting the project using 400 promotion materials;
